About

Sonibyte is a New York based start up founded in late 2005 by Dan Rowe, Jay Erickson, and Rick Levine, after the founders recognized that iPods and digital music players would spur millions of people to listen to more spoken-word content. Bootstrap Software, a software development firm owned by Jay and Rick, incubated the business and developed the first version of the Sonibyte web application in late 2005. In 2006, Sonibyte signed its first clients, Wired News and Time Magazine. The Company has been steadily adding publishers to its client list since then. In 2008, Sonibyte added Bahar Gidwani, an experienced web entrepreneur, to its team.  It also upgraded its website and extended its product offerings via partnerships with Podtrac and Amazon.
